We live in a new place in St. Matthews that we heard about on our wedding day.
I got a job offer on our honeymoon.
We both have great jobs right now.
We have received so very much encouragement from people we know.
We are loving the idea of being together for the rest of our lives.
We got a rockin table the other day at an awesome price ($25, thanks Stewarts!)
So much good going on.
So many things to make us happy!
And we are glad and so very thankful for them all.
The Lord is good.
But we are remembering...He is always good.
These things we have received are from the Lord, and we know it.
But Em and I are not focusing on the gifts, we are focusing on the giver.
For when the job gets hard, or our living conditions are poor, or community with others is scarce, or our relationships is stifled, or....the table breaks. He is good.
We are hoping that our diligence will lead us to look to Him. In the times of plenty or in the times of want.
We are earnestly praying that we will focus on the gospel throughout our marriage. Encouraging one another continually with that one purpose.
And we know He loves us more than our comfort, and wants us to grow and to love those around us with gusto. He wants us to rejoice in Him and be satisfied in Him. We know He will finish what He started: Christ will hold onto us and work on us and make us more like Himself throughout our years.
So this blog is going to be a reflection of that.
We will both be posting. Keeping people up to date on Belcher happenings will be our goal.
Hopefully you will see a lot of growth in humility, obedience, trust, service, and love (not only the mushy kind, but the kind that is hard to do; check out 1 Corinthians 13, 1 John 3:16, or John 15:13).
We will get some sweet pictures of our ceremony up soon. Probably on Facebook. Actually Em is sitting beside me right now adding them to albums. If your not on there go check out Lang Thomas Photography and the pictures Lang took for us found here (Lang I hope you don't mind me linking to your site).
Thanks for reading! Be back soon.
